Matt Dodd earned his PhD in environmental analytical chemistry from the University of British Columbia. He has served as project scientist and manager for environmental assessments in marine, freshwater, groundwater and terrestrial environments. He has also supervised or provided scientific advice on environmental cleanup projects in the Canadian North. Prior to his numerous trips to the Canadian Arctic, Dodd taught at Sir Wilfred Grenfell College at Memorial University in Newfoundland and Labrador.
