“I have been doing business internationally for several years, but Royal Road University’s Master of Global Management program was an opportunity to formalize my experience, fill in the gaps and expand my skills. The MGM is special in that it’s not an MBA – there is a larger focus on cultural perspectives and on understanding how businesses operate in different parts of the world. Also, having the opportunity to sit with other students from all around the world and ask them about their home environments is invaluable.
Even though I had already been accepted into another MBA program when I heard about RRU’s MGM, I made the transfer. Here, there seems to be less emphasis on pure finance and profitability – the MGM gives us valuable tools to analyze new cultures and ask the right questions to the right people. My biggest takeaway from this program is the practicality of the materials and lessons being taught. Theories are analyzed, tried and experimented within the classroom and discussions bring forth the life and work experiences of the other students, enhancing my learning beyond the textbook.
