At RRU, who you are matters as much as what you’ve done. Admissions make evaluations based on more than just transcripts, welcoming students with extensive and practical learning in the workforce and life who may have been overlooked by other institutions.

Take this opportunity to connect with faculty, staff, and alumni. Find out how our blended learning model—online with short on-campus residencies— enables you to get an education without having to quit your life.

This general information session covers a broad range of topics – please join us, and bring your questions with you. We’d like to show you how Royal Roads University is Life.Changing.

Royal Roads University brings you, Dr. Carolin Rekar Munro, Professor and Intellectual Lead for Leadership in the Faculty of Management.

Strengthening our Capacity to Build Extraordinary "Semi-Perfect" Connections with Others

In this interactive session, we explore how to harness our own leadership capabilities to build and sustain longer lasting connections in our professional practice. Carolin shares her eight years of research findings on building relationships in multigenerational workplaces and the success factors in making and sustaining professional connections no matter where you are in your career trajectory. We will examine the top "connection killers" and discover ways to remove these constraints, so we can engage fully and thoughtfully with others en route to creating a culture of inclusivity and engagement and to reaching our professional goals. You will leave the session with a toolkit of techniques and practices which you can apply immediately.
