Ted Wilson Memorial Award for Lifelong Learning
This endowment fund has been created in honour of Ted Wilson, father of Ann Kelly and father-in-law and dear friend of Royal Roads University’s past president, Dr. Gerry Kelly. Ted was an entrepreneur, artist, and sportsman in India, England and Canada. Ted had an insatiable inquisitiveness for learning, having completed his last course at the age of 86 at Camosun College in Victoria, B.C. The award is presented at November Convocation to the student who demonstrates a commitment to lifelong learning.
In preparation for the annual November convocation awards, each School Director is invited to put forward one nomination, and include in their consideration all masters students who are eligible to graduate at the upcoming convocation or who graduated since the last time the award was presented. The Deans review the nominations and agree upon the recipient.
The recipient will be contacted approximately six weeks before November convocation.
