Entrance Awards

Direct Applicant Entrance Award and Entrance Bursary
The Royal Roads University Entrance Award program recognizes prospective students who have demonstrated achievement through academic or other preparation in one of our major theme areas: sustainable development, entrepreneurship, empowering leadership, conflict analysis and management, communications, and international hotel management.

The Royal Roads University Entrance Bursary program recognizes prospective students who have selflessly dedicated their time and energy to volunteerism and community involvement and who demonstrate a reasonable amount of financial need. The purpose of this bursary is to aid in reducing a financial barrier to enrolling at RRU by helping those who have helped others.

The Awards Adjudication Panel has the flexibility to offer an Entrance Award for excellence or an Entrance Bursary if the decision was based on financial need. The panel also has the descretion  with the value of the award or bursary up to a maximum of $2,000 each.

Apply to a competition that falls before your program begins.

Doctor of Social Sciences Entrance Award

Annually one $5,000 tuition-credit entrance award is available to students accepted into the Doctor of Social Sciences program.  The university may choose to not award this award in any given year.

A complete application submission consists of the general entrance award/bursary application form and a one page essay. Applicants will be judged on the basis of promise of academic excellence, the ability to provide intellectual leadership in the workplace, and the capacity to help build sustainability (economic, environmental, social) upon program completion. Financial need will not be a factor of eligibility so please disregard that portion of this generic application form.

Check back in March 2013 for an application form.

Application deadline: Please check back in fall 2012
