The Diversity Action Group invites you to a workshop on disability awareness. A facilitator from the Victoria Disability Resource Centre (VDRC) will be offering a two-hour workshop on December 11 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Grant 204. The workshop, titled Increasing Awareness of Disability Issues in Our Daily Lives, is open to the entire Royal Roads community. Tea and coffee will be provided.

How do the issues that people with disabilities face impact us as a community? How can we be more proactively inclusive of persons with disabilities in our society? Join Kelby Mullin as we discuss how we can make changes to our language and perceptions in order to fight unconscious biases against those with disabilities.

The Victoria Disability Resource Centre (VDRC) is a cross-disability, grassroots, not-for-profit organization run by and for persons with disabilities. The Centre works closely with people who have a disability and with other community organizations to find and remove barriers that prevent full participation in life.
