December 6 marks the 26th anniversary of the tragic and violent deaths of 14 female students at L' Ecole Polytechnique of the University of Montreal and is the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.

We will mark this day with a program and candlelight vigil at Royal Roads on Friday, Dec. 4 at noon in the castle drawing room. The program will feature the RRU choir, speakers and a candlelight vigil.

All members of the RRU community are invited and encouraged to attend.

If you are unable to attend the vigil, but would like to learn more about violence against women in honour of the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, the Students Against Violence group at RRU has created a short video about gender based violence at Canadian universities. The video can be viewed here.
