Learning Disability Screen – A screening tool for Suspected Learning Disabilities
This is not a diagnostic screening tool; it is used for the purposes of gathering information based on your insights and previous experiences. It may be considered by your disability service provider in determining how to assist you further. This screen is distributed by post-secondary disability service officers who will determine candidates for its completion. Please return the completed inventory to RRU's Accessibility Services office.
Major Project Medical Extension
Medical Extensions for major research projects (thesis, OMP, OLP etc) are three months in length, regardless of medical condition. A Medical Extension waives the extension fee.
The extension fee may be waived no more than two times. The second extension must be for a new presenting medical barrier to completion of the major project. A Medical Leave of Absence is recommended if the student cannot complete their major project within these parameters.
Medical Leave of Absence
Students unable to continue their studies due to a medical condition may be granted a Medical Leave of Absence (MLOA) from the university for a reasonable period of time, subject to the provision of appropriate medical documentation.
Return from Medical Leave of Absence
When a student is ready to return from an MLOA, they must provide documentation from their physician declaring that they are fit to return to study.
Parking and/or Housing Accommodation Request
This form is for students requesting Disabled Parking Pass and/or On-Campus Housing Accommodation due to medical reason(s). Please note submission of this form does not guarantee availability of priority accommodations or parking space until confirmed by the respective departments.
