INDS640: Major Project

Course Description

The Major Project constitutes an independent, applied, interdisciplinary research project. The Major Project should demonstrate the student’s knowledge of theory and the ability to apply it in the field and is worth 12 credits. Projects can be carried out at the student’s place of work or with another organization or agency and may or may not involve human participants. In the MA Interdisciplinary Studies, the Major Project is the focal point of a student’s program of study, which has been designed to provide the interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary theoretical and methodological foundations for the project. The optimum length for a major project is about 35 pages (about 9,000 words) and should constitute approximately 400 hours of effort by the student.
