Course Description

Focuses on the essentials of business law in Canada, from the methods of carrying on a business, to hiring and firing, to the ways in which tort and contract law can impact businesses. Explores, in particular, what legal structures are available for business formation; how valid contracts are formed; and how to manage and minimise business risks under tort law.
