Course Description

Examines key strategic drivers projected to influence the 21st century hazard environments and considers the implications for the profession and practice of disaster management. Explores the characteristics of adaptive expertise needed to support proactive engagement of stakeholder communities to address current situations and events, as well as future scenarios. Analyzes decision-making and problem-solving in conditions of uncertainty. Assesses constraints and opportunities associated with leading change in the disaster management field.
