Introduction to Field-Based Action Research
Course Description:
HSPB 520: Examines methods of design, data collection, and analysis, both quantitative and qualitative, for field research and rapid appraisal of complex situations. Emphasizes participatory and action-oriented research and the connections between epistemology and methodology as eminently instrumental and practical questions related to the analysis and practice of human security and peacebuilding. Includes effective report writing and presentation skills. Students establish a communications link and relationship with field mentors. (3 credits)
