Hospitality Entrepreneurship

Course Description:

IHMN 440: Introduces students to the field of entrepreneurship and the role that it plays in society and in the hotel industry. It focuses on the nature and theories of entrepreneurship, the characteristics and behaviour of entrepreneurs, and the development of entrepreneurial process. Guest speakers from the hospitality industry will be featured. The major project for the course will be the development of a comprehensive business plan. (3 credits)
