Evidence Informed Decision Making and Leadership

Course Description:

HSLD 572*: Examines how to acquire, assess, and adapt high quality, locally applicable research based evidence to shape and inform decisions in health at a unit, organization, and systems (policy) level. It also explores how to make quality decisions based on a sophisticated knowledge of, and consideration of, research-based evidence as one factor among many that influence decisions. Students will work with challenges that their health organizations currently face. Students will work in teams and individually through a sequence of online discussions and assignments. (3 credits)
