Ecotoxicology

Course Description:

ENSC 407: This is an integrative course that examines the fate and effects of toxic substances on various levels of ecosystem organization from molecular to landscape. Students use laboratory exercises, an evolving case study, in-class lectures and discussions as well as practical laboratory experiences using pulp mill effluent with various bioassay techniques, to gain a comprehensive view of this emerging field.     (3 credits)

*Prerequisites: ENSC 300, ENSC 317, ENSC 306, ENSC 303
