Economics for Decision Making
Course Description:
ENVR 530: Introduces theories, concepts and facts about competing economic paradigms, and provides students with skills to integrate economic and environmental decisions. Class format consists of lectures, case studies and class debates. Students work in teams to study selected economic instruments in member countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). By reviewing leading practices in the application of these instruments, students gain knowledge about their effectiveness, efficiency, and public acceptability. (3 credits)
