Sandra Richardson
Executive Director and CEO of the Victoria Foundation
Sandra Richardson is Executive Director and CEO of the Victoria Foundation. One of Canada’s oldest community foundations, the Victoria Foundation pools gifts from donors to create permanent, income-earning funds for local registered charities.
Prior to joining the Foundation seven years ago, Richardson spent five years as Director of Development and Planned Giving with the Victoria Hospice and Palliative Care Foundation. She has also held the position of Director of Development for the Cleveland Playhouse and, subsequently, for the Cleveland Opera.
In 2007, Richardson was invited to enter the Order of Saint John in recognition of her achievements and contributions to the Greater Victoria community. She has been a member of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners (CAGP) for over a decade and chaired the CAGP Vancouver Island Roundtable for four years.
Currently, Richardson serves on the Board of Community Foundations of Canada and is an active participant with the Transatlantic Community Foundation Network.
Richardson, whose background is in nursing, has completed the Communications and Public Relations program at the University of Victoria and was a recipient of the Vancouver Island Public Relations Professional of the Year Award.
