Royal Roads honours 771 graduates, presents honorary degrees to the Right Honourable Adrienne Clarkson and Peter H. Thomas
Royal Roads University awarded the Right Honourable Adrienne Clarkson an honorary degree, Doctor of Laws, on the morning of fall convocation. Also during the morning ceremony, Honorary Captain (Navy) Cedric Steele, a tireless Victoria volunteer, received the Chancellor's Community Recognition Award. In the afternoon ceremony, entrepreneur Peter H. Thomas, founding partner of the Todd Thomas Institute for Values-Based Leadership (now known as the Institute for Values-Based Leadership at Royal Roads University), received an honorary degree, Doctor of Laws.
Royal Roads also honoured 771 graduates from degree and certificate programs in the Faculty of Social and Applied Sciences, the Faculty of Management and the Centre for Applied Leadership and Management.
Convocation was hosted at the Royal Theatre, Victoria, B.C. The morning ceremony was at 9:30 a.m. and the afternoon ceremony was at 1:30 p.m.
