Facilitator: Phil Taylor, a graduate from the New York Institute of Photography and the Western Academy of Photography, is a freelance photographer based in Langford, BC. Phil has found enjoyment in photographing nature for over twenty years and has taken his passion for photography to many interesting places in China, Australia, Alaska, and, of course, British Columbia. His craft and passion for photographing various aspects of landscape is heavily influenced by our unique ecosystem and natural aspects of the west coast. In Victoria, Phil has found inspiration in other photographers’ work, such as Freeman Patterson and Ansel Adams. Phil’s photographs have been exhibited alongside many artists, most notably Sue Coleman.
