We are in the process right now of carefully crafting our 2010-2011 calendar with brilliant facilitators and learning partners that bring over 250 trans-disciplinary (non-degree) short courses, talks, events, and certificates that promise to be extraordinary!
As we do so, we are imagining you here with us exploring the Royal Roads University campus -- one of the most magnificent places on earth to learn where Edwardian gardens, a 1908 castle and ancient forests all meet the ocean and the snow-capped Olympia’s beyond. Quite a remarkable learning perspective!
Effective July 1, 2010 GST and PST will be replaced with a harmonized tax, HST. Any courses that are considered pre-requisites to higher learning or are admissions requirements at RRU, or any of the professional development and green learning courses that help to fulfill a certificate, will be tax exempt. All other courses will be subject to applicable taxes.
Watch for our new calendar in your Times-Colonist on Friday,
September 10th. Our website will go live for registration prior to that date in mid August. Please check back or
email us and we can be sure to put you on our interest list to send you a direct link on the day. You can also find copies of the calendar in September in all Greater Victoria libraries and rec centres, London Drugs in Colwood, Bolen's books and at various coffee shops and kiosks all the way from Metchosin to Sydney. If you would like a paper copy sent to you, please
email us with your address.
We are confident you will find many of our new offerings so compelling, it may be hard to choose! We look forward to cultivating ways that we can all have the largest conversations we are capable of having in the world
and with the world in order to discover our unique ways of contributing and belonging, and to help build both a personally and socially reponsible culture....communities that invite the uniqueness of each one of us in service to the whole.
Stay tuned!
Wishing you the best this summer,
The Continuing Studies team
