Brimming with over 270 short courses, our 2010–2011 calendar is literally drenched with opportunities!
This year we welcome Tibetan Buddhist,
Reginald A. Ray ( Mar 25-26-27), world renowned poet-philosopher,
David Whyte (May 6 & 7), author/poet/philosopher,
Mark Nepo (June 3-4), and depth psychologist, author and wilderness guide,
Bill Plotkin (July 12 and July 13-17). The work of these elegant and masterful cultural agents transcends normally exclusive learning realms to offer visionary models of human development toward a deeply imaginative lifestream of vocation and leadership.
NEW this year - in addition to our popular professional and applied certificate programs in:
Management and Leadership Skills,
Professional and Applied Communications Skills, and
Eco-Literacy, is the
Carbon and Energy Leadership Certificate created in response to our changing world. It includes 9 comprehensive and experiential short, non-credit modules designed to build awareness and broaden understanding and development of carbon and energy leadership in terms of: influencing change and leading environmental action; leading adaption and mitigation strategies; green energy; and understanding climate change and the value of sustainability through the lens of carbon economics and financing. Take a stand alone course or complete the entire certificate in a flexible timeframe.
Effective July 1, 2010 GST and PST were replaced with a harmonized tax, HST. Any courses that are considered pre-requisites to higher learning or are admissions requirements at RRU, or any of the Professional Development, The Arts and/or Green Learning courses that help to fulfill a certificate, will be tax exempt. All other courses will be subject to applicable taxes.
