Langara College

Objective of the Agreement

Royal Roads University (RRU) agrees to facilitate the block transfer of students from Langara College in Vancouver, BC with appropriate prerequisite qualifications into the third year of the RRU programs within the School of Environment and Sustainability noted below. By this agreement, applicants from Langara College who meet the requirements outlined below will be eligible for admission to RRU with full block transfer, provided all other entrance criteria are met (per the program admission requirements on the RRU website) and space remains available in the RRU program. Entrance to all programs at RRU is on a competitive basis.

Successful completion of the:

Langara College Program: Associate of Science Degree in Environmental Studies

Approved for block transfer:

  • Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management
  • Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science
  • Bachelor of Science in Environmental Practice
  • Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Practice

Langara College Program: Diploma of Arts and Sciences in Environmental Studies 

Approved for block transfer:

  • Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management - students must have taken at least 6 credits of post-secondary level courses in math (Math 1171 and Math 1271)
  • Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science - students must have taken at least 6 credits in math (Math 1171 and Math 1271)
  • Bachelor of Science in Environmental Practice
  • Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Practice

Langara College Program: Associate of Arts Degree in Environmental Studies 

Approved for block transfer:

  • Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management - students must have taken at least 6 credits of post-secondary level courses in each of biology (BIOL 1115 and BIOL 1215), chemistry (CHEM 1120 and CHEM 1220) and math (Math 1171 and Math 1271)
  • Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science - students must have taken at least 6 credits of post-secondary level courses in each of biology (BIOL 1115 and BIOL 1215), chemistry (CHEM 1120 and CHEM 1220) and math (Math 1171 and Math 1271)
  • Bachelor of Science in Environmental Practice
  • Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Practice
