Along with her position of President, CNIB Guide Dogs, Diane works in the international blindness space as treasurer for the World Blind Union and chair for the Women’s Committee. 

She graduated with a Master of Arts in Leadership in 2011. She was diagnosed with a genetic eye condition at the age of five and gradually lost all her sight by the age of 35.

She is partnered with a beautiful golden retriever guide dog named Carla and is married with two adult children. She is a past Ironman finisher from 2017 and now spends her free time learning the guitar.
