K.A. (Sandy) MacIver
Sandy MacIver is the president of his own family-based consulting business, specializing in the tailoring of leadership, teamwork, systems, self-development and engagement programs to the needs of a wide variety of clients in all of the major sectors: private, public, not-for-profit and university. He brings high energy and commitment to this work, which has involved organizations from all over North America. He also provides extremely personal motivational talks to selected clients.

Sandy’s purpose is to bring out the best leadership and collaborative potential in everyone with whom he works. He describes his work as “leadership through relationships”. With more than thirty years of work experience, twenty plus of that in consulting, and post-secondary leadership-related teaching experience going back to 1986, Sandy brings a great deal of practical, practiced wisdom to his work with organizations.

Sandy’s dedication to his clients knows almost no bounds. He is committed to give them everything he can in the time that he works with them. At the same time he focuses his attention on participants in his programs learning personal, team and organizational responsibility and accountability.

Sandy’s doctoral dissertation at UBC was on the subject of building greater trust in organizations, which is a lifelong interest that he brings to all of his work with organizations. He wrote his master’s degree major project on strategic planning in organizations and, prior to that, wrote an undergraduate thesis that reflected his passion for politics. Sandy is a former Rhodes Scholar who studied history and law for two years at Oxford University.
