Shawn Bonnough is a serial entrepreneur responsible for over a dozen new venture start-ups ranging from large scale brokerage of mining company assets to adventure based inbound tourism from Germany. Shawn has operated and promoted an independent sawmill, a windshield repair company, a skydiving school, a construction equipment rental company and more recently enjoys a measure of success developing land in northern Idaho

Shawn has taught entrepreneurship and new venture creation for the past several years in Canada and the US through his company Velocity Business Training Inc. Contracted with private firms, community development organizations and colleges, Shawn thrives on the challenge and “adrenaline factor” of a new business start-up and has helped hundreds of participants of his programs launch over 150 small businesses.

Shawn is a past graduate of Royal Roads University and has also studied business management at Malaspina University/College and the Seoul University in Korea.

Shawn is currently building his own training facility on a mountaintop retreat near Rathdrum Idaho. Building a lodge called The Haven on the abandoned foundation of a Catholic monastery, Shawn spends his spare time building small guest cabins to accommodate students of his programs in this dramatic wilderness setting.
