
Mr. Rezac is Managing Director and Chief Engagement Officer of the Vancouver Board of Trade. He has held executive positions with the Canadian government, General Motors, and Alcan. Mr. Rezac represented The Board of Trade as a delegate to the World Economic Forum from 1989 until 2008 and is a member of The Davos Circle. He is also Chief Executive of the Rix Centre for Corporate Citizenship & Engaged Leadership. He also chairs the Royal Roads Fellows Council.
Mr. Rezac is an author and international lecturer on engaged leadership, corporate citizenship, positive networking, and social capital. His book, Work the Pond! (Prentice Hall) is a Canadian best seller and has been translated into Chinese, Korean and Russian. He is the author of the Engaged Leadership Matrix, a capacity model for leadership, connectorship and personal networks.
He is a director of B.C. Bearing Engineers Ltd and the Vancouver Board of Trade, and was founding director of Vancouver International Airport Authority from 1992 to 2000. He has done volunteer work for Simon Fraser University, UBC, BCIT, the Salvation Army, the Vancouver Cheery Blossom Festival and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. He is an ambassador for the 2010 Olympic & Paralympic Games.
Mr. Rezac holds a BSc in psychology from McGill University, a MBA from the John Molson School of Business, and is a 2005 graduate of the Corporate Governance College of the Institute of Corporate Directors. He was awarded an army commission in the Royal Canadian Engineers, and a naval commission in 1996 as honorary captain (N), Canadian Fleet Pacific. He has been awarded the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal, the Canada 125 Medal, and the Canadian Forces Decoration (CD).
He holds a commercial pilots license and enjoys fly-fishing.
