Spring convocation is Friday, June 18 with the morning ceremony starting at 9:30 a.m. and the afternoon ceremony at 2:00 p.m. Royal Roads University will confer honorary degrees on Canadian artist and environmental educator Robert Bateman and the Honourable Iona Campagnolo, former lieutenant governor of British Columbia. Local businessman Bob Saunders will receive a Chancellor’s Community Recognition Award.

I’m friends with a peacock on Facebook. One day I got a Friend Request from Peacocks Rru Hatley Park and I accepted. After all, I was pretty sure I knew the peacock or had at least met the peacock at some point, just the same as anybody who’s ever spent time on campus. If the peacock inundated me with invitations for Farmville I would just have to deal with that at a later time.
