The approach to Christmas holidays seems like a time when everything should be slowing down. Perhaps I feel this way because I’m physically slowing down – every day there seems to be a new plate of cookies or other holiday treats in the office and it’s morally wrong to turn down a home-baked cookie. A steady diet of cookies and baked squares can do wonders for the soul, but I’m a lot slower on my feet.

Scott Kress graduated from Royal Roads University in 2007 with a Masters of Arts in Leadership and Training and on May 21, 2008 became the 51st Canadian to summit Mount Everest. He credits his studies at Royal Roads for having played a large role in his success on the climb.
