New centre, new programs, new partnerships launched at Royal Roads
A new academic centre, a new master’s program, the launch of a suite of continuing studies programs, two new partnerships to support learning, plus the first intakes for two new programs. September may not be the start of the RRU school year but this fall has been very active on the learning front nonetheless.

In June a group of peace activists from around the world gathered at Royal Roads University to discuss options for peace in a world in the grip of war. The historic event led to a declaration of peace at the World Peace Summit held in Vancouver a week later.

Making miracles in Mongolia: An externship takes an alumnus to the far east
This past summer Environmental Management alumnus Cleone Todgham spent two months in Mongolia helping researchers on several projects, ranging from the impact of overgrazing to the purification if E. coli contaminated water in rural towns. The project was partially funded by RRU's externship program which is aimed at helping graduates get field experience after graduation.
