Dormitories

Dorm rooms are furnished with: a twin bed, sink and mirror, a telephone with voicemail, study desk with bookshelves, dataport for internet hookup, lamps, wardrobe, task chair and a reading chair. Bathrooms are dormitory style, with separate male and female facilities. Each floor includes a washroom designed for learners with disabilities and contains both showers and a bathtub.

En-suite Rooms

Located in the Nixon Residence are 33 en-suite rooms, each furnished with a queen size bed, desk and task chair, telephone with voicemail, dataport for internet hookup, sitting chairs, coffee table, television, clock radio, iron and ironing board, and a full bathroom. 

Houses
(available for Faculty and Staff)

This housing is primarily provided to assist in the recruitment of new faculty and staff from outside the Victoria area, although some units are available for limited periods to current faculty and staff. All units have a self-contained kitchen with dishware, washer and dryer, bathroom (tub/shower), living room, TV, VCR, stereo.  All houses/apartments are on Shaw Cable for internet service.

During residencies, learners and faculty can expect to be fully engaged in coursework and program-related activities. The physical arrangements of the residences and the nature of the programs do not lend themselves to family activities. We are unable to provide family housing for learners or faculty at this time, but will gladly assist learners/faculty with families in finding suitable accommodation nearby.

Amenities
Residence lounges, vending machines, coin operated laundry and irons and ironing boards are located in each residence building, with a cash ATM located in the main entrance to the Millward building. Each lounge contains a large cable television and VCR, refrigerator, sink, microwave oven, toaster, kettle and basic dishware, as well as comfortable couches and chairs in which to relax and socialize.

Public pay telephones are available throughout the RRU campus. Locations include the Millward lobby, CEDAR building, near University Reception in the Grant Building, and the Mews Conference Centre.
